Coffee House Ep 13-14

These past two chapters is like watching an ode for the song “Sometimes Love is not Just Enough” for the EunSoo ship… It was as if fate is really testing them by always keeping them apart despite the fact that they feel so much love for one another…

In Episode 14, JinSoo mentioned something about timing and i believe that he is right in that matter…

Falling in love or having a relationship is really not just about the emotions but all the things that go with it which includes when you choose to take the plunge or be with a person and dedicate your whole life to them… The decision has to be mutual and both parties have to be ready to go into that step at the same time…

Despite the rants of other people, i believe that this is a stage that they have to go through much like JinSoo’s leaving to exorcise all the things that happened in the past…

Let the bad things all happen now so to speak so that moving forward, there is a surety within themselves that they can really make it and that no matter what, their love will remain strong despite the storms that they may have to face in the future…

In Episode 13, i love how JinSoo checks his watch before calling Eunyoung… it seemed as if he came back to Korea waiting for that moment and even if they were just talking about everyday, mundane things… The smile on my face was just present the entire time… It was as if they just pick up where they left off… they really have such a deep connection that they somehow can bounce back from separation, heartache and pain and still remain so in love with the other…

(I love the observation of a viikii viewer when they showed JinSoo and EunYoung making coffee on split screen… They do their coffee the same way and she said that the reason why JinSoo likes his coffee a certain way is because that’s the way EunYoung makes it… makes perfect sense…)

Although, i somehow saw that a twist like this would happen where EunYoung is now the one who would be the elusive one from JinSoo…  i still LOVE the fact that it actually happened!

This is really the type of angst that i soooooo love… the kind which feels as if your heart is being gripped by a vise and yet you know that no matter how much these two people try to pretend that they have gotten over each other… truth of the matter is they still LOVE each other to death and i guess this is JinSoo’s karma for breaking EunYoung’s heart the entire time that she was pining after him… (as they say, you can’t really know how much the worth of someone is until you lose them completely…)

I love the way JinSoo learnt of EunYoung’s upcoming wedding and how seeing her in that wedding dress made the realization become more solid and real to him… How much must it have hurt him to come back with high hopes for the girl that he’s ready to make a future with but then she had moved on leaving him behind…

But did EunYoung really? Moved on i mean…

To me, all signs point to her still being as hung up and in love with JinSoo since day one but she has to cope with the pain of him leaving her behind and what better way to do that but by continuing to have a sense of normalcy in her life by moving on with it…And since she has to go on with her life but can’t fall in love with anyone else the same way that she loves JinSoo, she chose the easiest way out which is to marry JinWon… Somebody whom she doesn’t love and who would not take it against her if that were the case since the guy is so egotistical that he believes the world revolves around him…

After all, it must be tiring to be the one doing the chasing all the time and with JinWon the guy had always been upfront about how much he wants her to the point of even stalking her…

I guess EunYoung felt that his desire is a salve to her bruised womanly pride after being let go of by JinSoo during that time and it was a mean feat for JinWon to last two years just waiting for her (Although in my opinion JinWon also did it to show off so that he can boast about the feat rather than because he was sincere)…

I also believe there is a reason why Eunyoung didn’t find a suitable match out of the 100 guys she’s dated… I know that no matter what she says she’s comparing all of them to JinSoo and in the end everyone falls short because her heart is already with him..

Now this is really a hard lesson that JinSoo had to learn the hard way…

He really can’t blame EunYoung for getting committed to JinWon because really in this day and age, only martyrs would wait for someone without surety and waste away their life pining for a lost love …

I guess that in the end, that is also the reason why she asked him to lie because if she knows the truth, i’m sure she wouldn’t have the strength to stick with her decision and then she will be back to square one…

(By the way, i love the killer stares JinSoo was sending JinWon during dinner…

I guess it’s because of the way he orders EunYoung around and how he dares to talk to JinSoo about women while flirting openly with SeungYeon… I’m sure JinSoo is imagining EunYoung’s future with him and he already knows that JinWon had not changed his womanizing ways but rather he just put it off to claim EunYoung as his and then once they’re married, that’s when he’d revert to his usual ways…)

As for SeungYeon, she has to get over this schoolgirl crush she has on JinSoo ASAP… she’s just opening herself up for hurt and i hate how she doesn’t stand up to him while he plays around with her like a puppet on a string…

I can’t help but think that she’s just like me with my penchant for bad boys except that in my case, i like them bad with other people but not with me… She is a professional, self sufficient woman now and i think it’s about time she finds some respect for herself whenever JinSoo is around so that he’d also stop using her and treating her like a doormat…

Now, Dong Wook is a different story… He has totally made over himself probably because he thought that Seung Yeon wanted JinSoo because he was rich and succesful and he strived hard to be just that so that Seung Yeon would want him too…

Just two more episodes to go and i am expecting the BIG Confession to totally blow us away… I’m truly going to miss this drama and i think as early as now i’m stating that for 2010, if Prosecutor Princess is my number one drama so far, then Coffee House would be a close second…

(I so love KJH and PSY’s chemistry the way that they act with their eyes is exceptional! I would not mind seeing them become a REAL couple…)
