Cinderella’s Sister First Impression

This drama is wayyyyyyy fierce!

I have never seen any other drama made this way and i can only give praises to the entire production of this series for coming out with a drama that’s fresh and innovative… It’s almost like watching a movie…

The sound scoring is ace, the actors top quality and the storyline engaging and intriguing… I was thinking it will be one of those formulaic melodramas that South Korea is so famous for but i’m glad i gave it a try because i was proven wrong…

I like how some humor is thrown out in between the storytelling… it’s not the LOL kind but the kind that is witty… I love how some scenes surprise me because it doesn’t turn out the way i expect it… I am not basically a fan of heavy, heavy drama and i’m glad that this series turned out to be more than that…

On the character front, I love the contrast in between the two female leads and how they acted it out… Moon Geun Young is sooooo intimidating as the scarred, cynical, street smart Eun Jo and Seo Woo is just soooo adorable as the naive, innocent, bright and childlike Hyun Soo… I was kinda thinking that they were pushing the envelope too much with their characters in the beginning because MGY seemed more like a thug than a female lead and Seo Woo sometimes come across as a ditz but given the circumstances where they grew up in i thought it was fairly understandable…

(Seo Woo being pampered and having everything given to her and MGY living through tough times because of her mother and her men…)

The execution of some scenes is like poetry in motion that it really adds to the drama and emotions that you feel over the scenes that you’re watching…

(That scene where Chun Jung Myung’s character was chasing after Moon Geun Young and he grabbed on to her hair, pulling it loose from the bun she pulled it into was soooo electrifying that i can almost see sparks on my laptop while he stares at her with a lovestruck expression…)THAT IS SOME BRILLIANT DIRECTING… no words are necessary but you know at that moment that that’s where he felt an undeniable attraction for her…

I am totally expecting conflicts to arise because of CJM’s relationship with Seo Woo and his developing feelings for MGY… also, i bet that Seo Woo’s character would mature some time in the series fast because as early as now, i can totally see MGY’s jealousy for the way that she was raised and the environment she grew up in while Seo Woo in the future might be jealous of MGY’s having a mother which she totally longs for and of course for having CJM’s attention which was solely hers in the past…

I hate to sound like a fantard but Seo Woo really made me cry with her crying scenes…

Gosh! She really plays her parts so well… The cuteness explosion is something i have to get used to because she is no nonsense in Tamra but when she’s in a dramatic scene, you really see her acting chops and i guess that’s the reason why producers also favor her to play roles which goes beyond that of her age like in PAJU and THE HOUSEMAID…
