Queen of Reversals Ep 5-6

So remember that first impression that i did for this series where i said that i am waiting for that eureka moment when this show would turn from so-so to awesome?

Well i think this is it…

THIS IS REALLY IT.

The first few minutes of Episode 5 alone already had me in tears…

Jung Joon Ho is no Alist actor for nothing…

He gave such a heartwrenching performance of subtle hopelessness as he sat by that dumpster crying about how he felt like trash after his company chewed him dry then spat him out…

As Tae Hee comforts him and gives him the courage he needs to get right back up, I have never felt such desire for a kdrama lead to show her enemies just what she’s got…

Goodness, there’s no doubt about it that Tae Hee and Joon Soo were kicked to the curb and kicked some more while they’re down just because of the bitterness of Song Mi and Yeo Jin…

It’s about damned time someone puts them in their place and i’m glad that Tae Hee is now back in at Queens so she could do just that…

(In my opinion Song Mi and Yeo Jin should really get a life… How can they be this angry and bitter over the fact that Tae Hee and Joon Soo fell in love and got married?

Gosh! It’s been five years, they really should move on so that they would stop being such sourpusses, especially Yeo Jin whom judging from the recent episodes is about to add home wrecking heathen to her resume aside from Grade A Beeyatch and two faced backstabber… )

I’ve had such high expectations from Yoon Shik seeing how he was the main reason why Tae Hee got back into Queens and i thought that with the way he’s involving himself more in the plight of the about to be laid off employees he is starting to change and to take his role as the Presidents heir more seriously…

Sadly,  the way he’s putting himself first once again and not caring about his team of misfits makes me just want to change my mind…

However, seeing how he’s moved by the hard work and perseverance that Tae Hee puts in into the dead end job that she was given right now (Sang Moo nim never runs out of ideas to humiliate her does she?) makes me anticipate the moment when he’d have his moment of glory and when Tae Hee and him would band together  to bring down the Witches at Queens and i know that i don’t even have to name names because i’m sure that you guys call them the same and all know who i am talking about…

(I am soooo enamored though with the way that Park Shi Hoo is portraying this character…

I love how he’s a little wimpy when it comes to Tae Hee and how he makes people believe that he’s ignorant making me cackle like a loony when he gets one up over them like when Yeo Jin was snooping around in his office to swipe Tae Hee’s paperwork from his desk…)

As much as i am championing Tae Hee’s cause though, there is much left to be desired in terms of her support of Joon Ho’s ideas and dreams…

I am not one to condone cheating no matter what shape or form it takes, but man… her nagging would really drive any man to the arms of another and i guess that this is one of the things that Yeo Jin is banking on since she seems to be just waiting to pounce on him…

I can only wish that that day would never happen… (However, seeing the same happen in Queen of Housewives where OJH’s character was somewhat tempted to get it on with his hoobae makes me wonder if the same would apply to this storyline…)

All in all, though the story is somewhat predictable and formulaic, i am starting to enjoy this series immensely…

It somehow reminds me of all those Hollywood movies where a bunch of outcasts are thrown together and at first they just take whatever crap that is dished out to them but then suddenly a driving force comes into their midst and then they get the motivation they need to prove to everyone that they have what it takes and they emerge victorious making you cheer for them in the process…

(I really commend the scriptwriter for making even the storyline of the side characters interesting as i am fully on board with that of the cancer stricken Bujangnim and that of the other team member who made me cry like Tae Hee as he sat on that bus pretending to be okay for the sake of his family…)

There is no doubt that in this series, that driving force is Tae Hee…

Aish! Who's the wiseguy who thought of giving me this hairstyle?

Now if only they can do something about her current 60’s ajumma hair then i have no doubt that everything will turn out perfect…
